ABOUT THE ROLE
The Financial Controller will be given a vast range of responsibilities covering virtually all aspects of financial management, including areas such as corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparations, tax management, pricing and business analysis as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

JOB DUTIES
Below you will find some of the responsibilities and tasks that will be part of your core responsibility. At Gelato, you will be working towards an international market, with numerous regulatory environments, combined with the responsibility of controlling of different business units within Gelato.
- Preperation and follow up on budgets, forecasts and KPIs covering all business units
- Further develop internal control procedures and control mechanisms
- Maintenance and overseeing of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Monitor and secure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
- Heavy participation in monthly, quarterly and annual close activities.
- Preperation of monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and prepare board level monthly financial and operational reports
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial processes
- Key role in the annual close and audit process
- Continuous financial modelling and ongoing business support (ad-hoc analyses across our different treasury units)
- Cash management and treasury duties
- Implementation of financial technologies and support systems
- Overseeing the payroll process
- Management of VAT and tax returns globally

Primary requirements:
- Strong academic background with MSc in Finance, Accounting, Business administration or Economics
- 3-5 years of experience as auditor, controller, or similar relevant experience
- Excellent computer literate
- Ability to work efficiently on a large number of tasks in parallel
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluency in written and spoken English
