Scatec Solar has a unique track- record as a successful provider of large-scale solar power in new and emerging markets. We now seek to grow our Business Development Team in order to identify and capture opportunities in multiple markets. To strengthen our team at the group headquarter in Oslo, we are currently looking for highly skilled Business Development Analysts with an international and commercial mindset to join our development team. The Business Development Analysts will support identification and development of utility scale solar projects through to start of construction. These persons will be a member of the development team, working closely together with the project finance team and the technical solutions team.
- Coordinate gathering of information from multiple sources to identify and screen new project development opportunities and support project proposals and project structuring
- Developing and implementing business development strategies, including conducting market reviews, analyzing policy supports for utility-scale solar and tracking regulatory developments in key regions
- Create project specific financial models and investment memos
- Work with the technical team to develop optimal technical solutions for projects
- Support development team with general administrative day to day tasks and informational presentations for management as necessary
- Support the marketing team in creating materials for engaging potential customers
- The position will require travelling
- Masters degree
- 2+ years experience. Experience from the renewable energy industry, power industry and international experience a plus
- Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including presentation software and in particular in Excel modeling
- Strong knowledge of business fundamentals, techniques of economic analysis, and a solid understanding of energy markets
- Fluent in English, proficient in minimum one additional relevant language
- Outstanding written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
