The Sr. VP of Technology has experience in driving consumer electronic devices/solutions from concept through productization. The candidate understands the productization requirements and the tradeoffs that must be made to bring complete solutions to market. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, integration, and qualification of electronics systems that include microprocessors, DSPs and/or microcontrollers. The ideal candidate has designed high-volume, high-power, high-quality consumer electronics products with a consistent focus on product design as well as attention to detail. The candidate will work closely with in-house and customer engineering resources to develop complete solutions.
Selected qualifications:
- +15 Years of experience in designing systems or embedded solutions
- Managed a team of software, signal processing, and integration engineers
- Interfaced directly with consumer electronics OEMs
Selected duties:
- Define the technology strategy that supports the overall business strategy.
- Develop R&D objectives and drive technology development and strategy, which takes into consideration business objectives, product strategy, competitive landscape, customer requirements, and budget constraints.
- Work collaboratively with the business, marketing and engineering teams to present a cohesive technology strategy and roadmap.
- Designs, develop, and implement the necessary technology migration plans for the company.
- Supervise software deployment, testing, and maintenance
- Develop technology contingency plans to keep projects on track.
Technical knowledge and experience in the areas of:
- High volume Consumer Electronics products
- Embedded software architecture development and integration
- Platform selection
- Memory optimization
Sensor - I2C and I2S Interface busses, etc
- Acoustic modeling
- Acoustic transducers utilized in mobile devices
- Low power design
- Electronic production and manufacturing
- Six Sigma or other production quality processes
